Microsoft Unveils New Design for Dell and Asus VR Headsets

Microsoft unveiled more details about their line-up of Windows VR helmets on 31 of May during Computex 2017, which is an Asia’s largest event. The company does not provide any specific information about the price of any VR helmets while they showed new design of Asus VR helmet.

Microsoft reported about the partnership with AsusIn their blog and added that they focus on producing very powerful and fast MR helmet with 6 DOF motion tracking controller which will deliver a high-quality experience. This controller was demonstrated during Microsoft Build event 2017 which took place from May 10-12.


What comes to the Dell they have generality changed the initial design of helmet which was first demonstrated during CES 2017. The front cover of Dell is implemented by Alienware which is a US-based gaming PC producer company. Their aim is to deliver helmet which will be very comfortable for consumers and will bring unique MR experiences to large audiences.

Meanwhile, Lenovo is working with Microsoft to produce their MR hamlet which is going to be affordable for purchase. Microsoft says that Lenovo helmet, which will provide inside and outside tracking option and easy set up for usage, will be available later this year.

Now Acer and HP helmets are accessible for developers to order via Microsoft Store. These two helmets costing Acer $299 and HP $329 is accessible only in Canada and US.
